Who runs this website
KC Royal Fence runs this website. It is built and hosted on CoreFusion OS, which keeps the information described on this page for KC Royal Fence.
Questions about this policy, or about what KC Royal Fence holds about you, go to KC Royal Fence:
When you visit a page
Pages reach you through Cloudflare’s network and are served by Render, the platform’s host, which keeps a log of the requests the site receives. Like any web request, yours carries your IP address and details of your browser.
When you send a form, the platform’s server records the IP address the request came from in its request log.
The typefaces on this site are served from the site itself, not from a font service.
Pictures uploaded to this site are stored with, and served from, Cloudflare.
When a page cannot be found, the site counts the address that was asked for. It records nothing about you.
Analytics and advertising tags
KC Royal Fence has switched on these tags. Each is the named company’s own script, and each loads as soon as a page opens, unless you have opted out:
- Google Analytics, which tells Google about each page you view.
- Google Tag Manager, which can load further tools KC Royal Fence chooses.
What these scripts store in your browser, and what the companies do with what they receive, is set by those companies.
You can opt out of all of them with “Your privacy choices” at the foot of every page, and opt back in the same way. Once you opt out, none of these tags loads on this site in that browser. Anything already running on the page you are reading stops, at the latest, when you leave it.
If your browser sends the Global Privacy Control signal, none of these tags loads. You do not need to do anything else.
Cookies
For its visitors, this site itself sets a cookie in only two cases:
- If you unlock a password-protected page, a cookie remembers that for 30 days. It holds a scrambled value, not the password.
- If you bid in an online auction, a cookie recognises your device for 12 hours.
Your privacy choice is not kept in a cookie. It is kept in your browser’s own storage for this site, under the name cf-privacy-choice, and holds only whether you opted out. It is never sent to the site.
People who edit this site for KC Royal Fence carry cookies of their own. Visitors are never given them.
Signing in to the members’ area sets a cookie too: see below.
When you fill in a form
The contact form asks for your name and email address and, if you choose, your phone number, what your message is about, and the message. KC Royal Fence keeps it in its records, and it is emailed to KC Royal Fence’s staff. You receive a short email saying it arrived. Email is sent through Mailgun.
The membership application asks for your name, email address and phone number and, if you choose, your business name, a membership level, a promo code and a message. KC Royal Fence keeps it in its records.
Other forms on this site keep your answers in KC Royal Fence’s records and email them to the staff KC Royal Fence names for that form. A form set up to do so also emails you a copy.
The contact form, the membership application, the other forms and the box for a page’s password are checked by Cloudflare Turnstile, to stop automated submissions. Your IP address is sent to Cloudflare for that check.
To limit how many times one visitor can submit, the platform keeps a scrambled form of your IP address with a note of each submission, for a year. The same scrambled value is kept with your answers to the forms above. It can be matched back to an address by someone who already has that address to try.
Online auctions
Bidding in an online auction asks for a name. Paying for an item you won asks for your name and email address.
The members’ area
Members sign in with a link emailed to them, which works once and for 15 minutes. Each request for a link is recorded with the email address it was asked for.
Members can also sign in with Google, which is asked only for your name, email address and profile.
Signing in sets a cookie that keeps you signed in for 30 days, or until you close the browser if you say you are on a shared computer.
If you turn on notifications, your browser’s push address is kept, and notices are sent through your browser maker’s push service (Google, Mozilla or Apple).
If you save a card for automatic payments, your name and email address are sent to Stripe to hold the card. The platform keeps the card’s brand, last four digits and expiry date, never the full number.
Newsletters
When KC Royal Fence sends a newsletter, it can send it to everyone in its contacts who has an email address — including people added when they booked a place or bought something.
Every newsletter carries a link to unsubscribe. Once you unsubscribe, you are left out of every later newsletter.
Maps and videos
Some pages offer an interactive Google map. It loads from Google only when you press the button to load it.
Videos play from YouTube’s privacy-enhanced address, or from Vimeo with its do-not-track setting on. Either way they load from those companies.
Who else handles it
Besides the companies named above:
- Render hosts the platform and its databases, in the United States.
- Cloudflare carries the site to you and stores its pictures.
- Mailgun sends the platform’s email.
- Stripe and Zoho take card payments.
- Where KC Royal Fence keeps its accounts in Zoho Books or QuickBooks, invoices are recorded there under your name.
- When KC Royal Fence’s staff use the platform’s assistant, which runs on Anthropic’s Claude, the names it looks up in KC Royal Fence’s records are sent to Anthropic.
- Where KC Royal Fence’s staff connect Google calendars, appointments booked with KC Royal Fence appear there with the customer’s name and address.
